Hereford City Centre Plans for Christmas 2023
Plans for Christmas 2023 are well underway, and we are thrilled to be able to share some details and dates for the city’s plans for the festive season.
Hereford Nutcracker Trail
Our festive outdoor Nutcracker Trail has been set-up and is now ready for the beginning of the trail on 21st November.
We have produced a Nutcracker Trail leaflet, that also promotes a Whats's On Christmas Guide and Hereford Gift Card.
The trail can be enjoyed via the LoyalFree app or on the leaflet. The trail leaflet will be distributed at the late night shopping and Christmas event weekend, as well as placed in key locations.
Live Music & Performances
- 6th December: late night shoppers can enjoy Free Parking and Ski lift photo opportunity display.
- 13th December: late night shoppers can enjoy Free Parking, live music and Ski lift photo opportunity display.
- 16th – 17th December: for our Christmas Weekend Extravaganza, Hereford will be filled with Christmas cheer with more great music and Ski lift photo opportunity display.
- 20th December: late night shoppers can enjoy Free Parking, live music and Ski lift photo opportunity display.
Christmas Trees
The BID team will be bringing festive cheer to the streets of Hereford with miniature Christmas trees. Twinkling lights will brighten up streets and make sure visitors feel festive and welcome during the winter months.
Dates and location for installation will be announced soon.
Best Xmas Shop Window Award
Always a huge hit at Christmas, our Best Christmas Shop Window Award is back for the SIXTH year.
This is your reminder to start thinking about your decoration for this year; let's make Hereford feel extra bright and festive.
- Register your interest with the BID team.
- Decorate your shop window and put up your Best Christmas Window Awards sticker.
- To enter send one photo of your shop window to Hereford BID by Sunday, 3rd Decemberber 2023 at 6pm. Or arrange a time for the BID team to take one for you. Contact us up to Thursday 30th November to arrange a time.
- Watch for our social posts and share them with your followers to help raise awareness.
Late Night Shopping & Free Parking
The Late Night Shopping and Free Parking dates for 2023 are 6th, 13th, 20th December.
Free parking will be from 4pm at Old Market, Maylord Orchards and Herefordshire Council car parks (excluding Friar Street and private car parks).
