The Saltmine Passion Play in Hereford

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Saltmine Theatre Company, in collaboration with local churches and the Hereford community, will present the Saltmine Passion Play 2025—a contemporary and immersive retelling of the Easter story.

This unique processional play invites audiences to walk alongside Jesus through six dramatic scenes set across the city, from a flashmob-style Palm Sunday entrance to a moving portrayal of the Crucifixion and Resurrection.

The production will begin at 1 PM at The Bull in High Town, with scenes unfolding throughout Hereford’s streets and cathedral grounds. As the performance moves from one location to another, the boundary between audience and actors will blur, creating an interactive and thought-provoking experience.
