Educational Visits

The Museum offers life long learning and welcomes school groups and home-educators.  Hands-on opportunities of apple pressing in the autumn harvest season are a good way to learn about where our food comes from.

Groups are able to book guided tours. We can also sometimes offer groups a talk on the history of the museum and cidermaking, or the history of orcharding and Bulmer's cider. To find out more, contact enquiries@cidermuseum.co.uk

There are interactive computers and vintage film of cidermaking and old photographs to view and children can dress-up in 19th Century replica smocks. There is an adult-sized apple costume too!

Safeguarding: the museum's policy on safeguarding vulnerarable adults and children is available on request and a copy is held at the Front Desk.

The museum continues to collect artefacts associated with the history of cider making and has achieved Accreditation status (awarded by the Arts Council, England) for its standards of care applied to the collection.

The Gift Shop and Team Room

The tearoom and Bottle & Gift Shop are free to enter and are open Monday-Saturday 10.30-4.30 (suggested last entry to tearoom 4.00).

The tearoom is a lovely place to relax and to meet friends for coffee.

Wifi is available.

The Cider Shop stocks over 150 craft ciders and perries, and has one of the very best ranges in the county. We have top-quality craft ciders you will not find in supermarkets, plus some of the county's most famous names like Weston's.

Small samples of dry, sweet and medium cider or perry and apple juice are available for visitors. The selection changes daily.

We promote responsible drinking and proof of age may be requested if you are lucky to look young for your age.

The museum carries a finite stock of superior oak-aged cider brandy which was once distilled on site. We also sell Herefordshire gins, vodkas and Somerset cider brandy and liquers.

Closed Sundays
