The hugely successful Hereford Indie Festival is returning for the eigth year, over the August bank holiday weekend, with an array of exciting acts, delicious independent food vendors and a jam packed extra day for locals to enjoy!

This year’s festival is taking place at Aubrey Street, in the heart of Hereford city centre, across four days from 23rd to 26th August. The massive main stage is returning for 2024, sponsored by Westons Cider, with big name acts and headliners performing all day everyday, through to the evening, and the all new Jam Factory Acoustic Stage will be showcasing some fantastic upcoming artists and live music to enjoy.

Dreams can come true for festival goers, who can expect to see the likes of 90s pop sensation, Gabrielle, along with other headliners indie pop favourites Lottery Winners and rock hitmakers Feeder, plus the UK’s most well-known percussionist Bez. Other acts performing each day include Newton Faulkner, Skinny Living, Cherym and Hereford’s very own Voice UK star, Jake of Diamonds.

The independent festival has been artfully curated to showcase amazing independent food and drinks businesses based in Hereford and beyond and this year is no exception, all set to serve the most delicious food out of the iconic street food market. Food and drink vendors signed up include Beefy Boys, Origin Pizza, Burger Shop, The Bookshop Restaurant, Mac Man, Crab Shack and much more.

Visitors can also expect to enjoy chef demos and master classes from the likes of Sakunthala Chandrasekara (AKA Saku) from GBBO 2023, and Liz Knight of Forage Fine Foods.

The produce market will be celebrating local businesses who will be selling their regional produce, from spirits, to coffees to handmade baked goods, there’s something for everyone to sink their teeth in to.

Those looking to shop will be excited for the return of the Wye Valley Maker’s Market, with locally made items and businesses promoting their services. From ceramics, to jewellery, to childrenswear – shoppers will not be disappointed and can enjoy some handmade gems from the selection of independent stalls.
