Buddy Holly & The Cricketers

Film & Theatre

The Buddy Holly & The Cricketers show has entertained
audiences across the globe from Cardiff to California, Barking to Bangkok and Swindon to Sweden and is guaranteed to have everyone singing along to the music and dancing in the aisles.

It stars some of the finest actor-musicians in the UK whose combined West End credits include Buddy, Lennon, Forbidden Planet and Jailhouse Rock and was endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act when the boys guested on BBC One’s Saturday night live programme, The One and Only, hosted by Graham Norton.

The show rarely pauses for breath and includes all the hits
from That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat and It Doesn’t Matter Anymore to Raining In My Heart, Oh Boy! and much, much more.

Buddy Holly was an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the 1950s. In 1955, after opening for Elvis Presley,
Holly decided to pursue a career in music. In October that year, when he opened for Bill Haley & His Comets, he was spotted by Nashville scout Eddie Crandall, who helped
him get a contract with Decca Records.

Sadly, Buddy Holly’s career was cut short when he was killed in a plane crash that he had chartered to take him and his band to their next show.

Buddy Holly & The Cricketers will be in The Courtyard’s
Main House on Wednesday 19 October at 7.30pm. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
