Hereford BID’s Hanging Baskets & Planters: Enhancing the City’s Appeal for All Visitors and Residents
Hereford Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to continue its commitment to maintaining the city’s beauty through the installation and upkeep of hanging baskets and planters across Hereford. This initiative, active throughout the spring and summer months, creates a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, ensuring that visitors and residents enjoy an aesthetically pleasing environment.
As part of our ongoing dedication to improving Hereford, this project emerged directly from the positive feedback received during our ballot consultation with BID levy payers in late 2024. The response was overwhelmingly positive and resounding support for continuing the service. This project highlights the importance of the BID, which supports its members and provides a visually appealing and inviting experience for everyone who visits the city.
The hanging baskets and planters are more than just decorative touches; they are integral to ensuring that Hereford remains a city in which people want to visit, shop, work, and live in an age where first impressions matter; this project underlines the belief that maintaining the city’s charm is vital. All the hard work put into attracting people to Hereford would be futile if they left with a negative experience. Creating a welcoming space where visitors can appreciate nature’s beauty within the city encourages them to return and share their experiences with others.

A SPECIAL OFFER FOR OUR BID MEMBERS
With your help, from May till early autumn, Hereford Business Improvement District (HBID) will install hundreds of gorgeous and colourful flowers that will dazzle your customers and make their visit one to remember.
Using hanging baskets and planter boxes in and around your business, we will create streets full of vibrant colours as our flowers blossom over the season, bringing a sense of pride and joy to our wonderful city.
Overleaf, you will see various options to take part, including our fantastic ‘all-inclusive’ one FREE basket per business offer, available to you as an HBID member, which includes maintenance and watering.
HOW TO TAKE PART
Complete the form overleaf, making sure you specify how many baskets you require. If you need brackets (free), please confirm those when emailing back. You must make full payment in advance of delivery, and this can be done either by BACS or cheque.
Our all-inclusive package includes installation, 25 weeks of maintenance, watering (up to five times per week) and disposal at the end of the season.
Similarly, you can order baskets on a ‘supply only’ basis, and we will be more than happy to drop those off at your premises*
