An exciting new business is coming soon to Hereford’s Independent Quarter and it’s great news for plant lovers!
Löv Leaf is a brand-new house plant shop opening later this month in Church Street. Its owner, Steph, kindly took time out to chat with us about her shop and share her plans with us, in between all her busy preparations for opening. Inspired by her love of plants, which blossomed during lockdown, Steph took the leap and picked up the keys for a new shop so she could continue to share her love of house plants. Located next door to Fodder, Löv Leaf will be a perfect new addition to this picturesque shopping street.
Rhiannon: Steph, we would love to know a little bit more about you and the businesses. What can you tell us?
Steph: This is my first business venture, I had always worked in the Tourism industry but I have a real passion for house plants. I found lockdown last year a real struggle, like many others, I really missed seeing friends and family, and struggled with the working from home lifestyle. I soon started to turn my free time to looking after my plants, and quickly my house turned into a jungle. After realising the benefits this was having on my life and mental health, I took the leap and decided I wanted to open up a shop and share my love of house plants with the wider world!
R: For anyone that hasn’t found you on social media yet, can you share with us the sort of things we’ll be able to find in your shop?
S: There will be a wide variety of house plants and pots to match. I also make other items such as macramé plant hangers and driftwood wall hangings.
R: Your new shop is in a great location, what led you to open Löv Leaf on Church Street?
S: I absolutely love this area of Herefordshire, it’s always so beautifully decorated and well kept, and the people in this area of the town are super friendly and it just felt like the perfect fit for my shop.
R: We’re very excited for you to open. Do you have any exciting plans for Löv Leaf you can share with us?
S: Shortly after opening we will be launching plant themed creative workshops, bringing something brand new and exciting to Herefordshire, these will be perfect for families, groups and parties, including making macramé plant hangers, building terrariums, wreath making and much more.
