Hereford's Christmas Nutcracker Trail
Explore the city and embrace the festive season with a fun Christmas adventure the whole family will love - the Hereford Christmas Nutcracker Trail
Twelve Christmas Nutcrackers are making Hereford their home from November until the new year, standing watch at key locations across the city centre. Each has a special festive name – can you learn them all?
Follow the trail map on your quest to discover each nutcracker and learn their name, writing each down as you go. Once you’ve found all the nutcrackers and completed the trail, head to Hereford Tourist Information Centre where a special Christmas prize is waiting for you! Simply show a member of staff the filled in trail sheet to collect.
The trail can be easily completed in one day or over a few days, so take your time and enjoy exploring, shopping, eating and drinking in the city centre too.
FUN FACT: In German folklore, nutcrackers are seen as symbols strength and power and were said to keep evil spirits and danger away. They were often given as gifts to bring luck to the family and protect the home.
As an extra treat for parents, there is also an opportunity to win a £50 Hereford Gift Card! Fill out and tear off the form on the trail sheet and pop it into the post box located in Hereford TIC – winners will be contacted by 13th January 2023, after the trail ends.
Trail will run from 22nd November until on 8th January 2023.
To take part, download a digital map or collect one from Hereford Tourist Information Centre.
